Dad life
I'm not the first, but I am a Dad to twins. I'll share the stories, you can laugh, I'll probably cry. Hopefully someday... my boys will enjoy reading about our growth together.
Dad life
I'm not the first, but I am a Dad to twins. I'll share the stories, you can laugh, I'll probably cry. Hopefully someday... my boys will enjoy reading about our growth together.
The short story: I found love, she married me, we had twins. Twins: 2. Yes, Two effing kids at the same time. I want to capture my memories.
If you're into gushy: Several years ago I was lucky enough to have a job that allowed me to meet the love of my life. Yup, then her sister threatened me... until I liked her. Crazy, right? Well, little did she know that my love was already being set in platinum. A few months later she said yes, and her sister backed down until the conversation about kids came up. ;)
Our wedding day was Nov. 12th, 2011, an abnormally warm fall day. We dubbed it 11-12-11. Our celebration expressed who we are. A couple that thinks family is huge, and a great party is something that happens when we all get together. At that point in my life I thought. "No way THIS day will be topped."
Flash forward a couple years. I receive a text from the little lady exclaiming why she's been crabby lately; BECAUSE SHE'S PREGNANT!!! (another story, for another day) The crazy part is looking at our first ultrasound, it dawned on me when I saw two sacks... twins!?!? We decided to wait on finding out the sexes, so on our anniversary we went to dinner to celebrate and to learn what our future would hold. We went to dinner at the same italian spot we went to after we got engaged. Took our "Baby A" and "Baby B" envelopes, opened them up and realized we would be paying for future "rehearsal dinners".
March 1, 2014. After a pretty good pregnancy. (coming from the guy that didn't carry them) Very early in the morning, my love gave birth to 2 healthy baby boys. (5 weeks early) They both were tiny (5lbs 14oz exactly the same) and extremely perfect in every itsy bitsy way. But; they were healthy enough to go home 2 days later. Let's just say, it the best "10 and 2" driving I've ever done.
This started the journey. A path for two boys, I'm sure that I'll mess up from time-to-time, and thats the reason for this blog to exist. To CAPTURE, an OUTLET, and for an visual guy; a reason to WRITE.
Follow my story. Give me feedback. Laugh. Have fun. And please say a few prayers for me. I'm sure we'll all need them.
